Founded in 1997, Global Protection Shield (GPS) has been at the forefront of certified low-profile, high-risk personal protection, adhering to the strict guidelines for protecting persons set by the State of Bavaria, Germany. The inception of GPS was in response to the attacks on conventional security details in the early 1990s. Recognizing the necessity for low-profile close protection specialists in high-risk situations, the Bavarian Government necessitated the establishment of GPS to provide enhanced risk management solutions for federally recognized protected persons.

Today, the GPS team comprises a select group of international risk management specialists with decades of global experience. Our branches in Germany and Africa give us the operational readiness to meet the highest demands. Our members are seasoned professionals in medical and security training, protective intelligence, complex risk assessments, personnel recovery, and close protection operations. Selected for their expertise, training, language proficiency, and demonstrated judgment in times of crisis, each team member possesses a minimum of ten years of close protection experience, an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, and hands-on involvement in international conflict zones.
